About Me

Hi there!

My Name is Emil Adjiev. I’m 27 years old and I’m an Android developer.
I created this blog mainly to keep all my new studied material in one place for the
community and my personal use. I will also present here my personal projects
for the interested employers and other users.

My motto in life is to strive for perfection in every direction i head. As an English Engineer
by the name of Sir Henry Royce once said: “Strive for perfection in everything you do.
Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it”.
I believe that this is a good way to look at life and from that point of view comes
my passion for programming.

Thank you for your post (27th Jan) about getting Google Maps running.

I’m working on Spreadsheets, so I’m stuck with the Gdata API.
I can do OAuth2 for Drive easily since it’s in Play Services, but OAuth2 in Spreadsheets was killing me. I could have OAuth2, or I could have Spreadsheets… not both. Everything crashed anytime I tried to use both. I was getting MultiDex errors that I couldn’t make heads or tails out of. I can’t tell you how many incomplete and outdated examples failed to solve things. How many forums questions from people having the same problems that brought no answer. I chased that dragon around for four days.

I switched back to Eclipse from Android Studio and I very thankfully stumbled over your blog. I followed your example… Presto! Everything works now! I had PlayServices in a library dependency and an imported jar. It was that simple. I’ve got a lot of code built on Spreadsheets. That would have been a horrible loss.

    Thank you.
